I, the undersigned...

...do solemnly swear to make a better effort as a blogger. Since I signed up to the Devil's website, I have noticed that there are people out there with a lot to say about (mostly) irrelevant stuff. The big question is "why am I any different?" Well dear reader, the answer is of course that I am not.
The thing is, I don't have any desire to communicate anything in particular. I read other blogs during the day and they haven't got anything much to say that I can't read on another blog. Just so you know, all the whining and bitching that goes on in the "polito-blogs" and the "opinio-blogs" is:

1. boring - the US election is over! You won / lost - move on
2. irrelevant - it's the World Wide Web not the America Wide Web and before you say anything, the inventor of the WWW is a Brit named Sir Tim Berners-Lee.
3. repetitive - you are all saying the same thing and hyperlinking to the same blogs / pages
   

"Thanks for staying" or "see ya" to all the Blog Exploders who should be up to this point in their 30 seconds of surfing!

I digress, the whole point of this post was to say that the content of blogs is entirely up to the individual and you have the freedom of choice to read or to move on. I think that the rating system as setup by BE was (unfortunately) too easy to abuse. I concede that everyone has an opinion (and an arsehole), but we should realise that the only person interested in either is its owner. In other words, don't rate me - I wont rate you. If something I say has any interest to you, I'm glad, but please remember that anything I do say is not for your edification nor your pleasure. Whether it is a story about my family or my opinion regarding the state of pop music - it's because I wanted to say it - end of story.

I would like to think that the philosophy espoused here is the way everyone thinks but I know that it isn't. I guess the main problem, as I see it, is that the ability to instantly broadcast your thoughts to the world is matched by the ability for the rest of the world to tell you to shut up. because you're wrong / you suck / you're an idiot etc.

I never saw this coming, I promise you. I never thought I would get to here when I started this post -Peace out man.
